SolarSon

From your first call to your first solar-powered day — 30 to 45 days.

Here's everything that happens, step by step. We handle the work; you sign forms when needed.

  1. 1

    Free Site Survey

    What we do

A SolarSon engineer visits your home or site. We measure your usable roof area, check shading and orientation, photograph the meter and electrical panel, and pull your last 12 months of bills.

    What you do

Be home for 45 minutes. Share your most recent electricity bill.

    Timeline

Within 1–3 working days of your booking.

  2. 2

    Custom Quote + 3D Layout

    What we do

Based on your bill and roof, we design a system. You get a 3D rendering of how panels will actually sit on your roof, a line-item quote, the subsidy estimate, and EMI options.

    What you do

Read it, ask questions, pick the system.

    Timeline

2–3 working days after the survey.

  3. 3

    Subsidy Paperwork (PM Surya Ghar)

    What we do

We submit your application on the national portal, upload your bill copies, coordinate with the DISCOM for technical feasibility approval, and track the subsidy through every stage.

    What you do

Sign the application and provide your Aadhaar + bank account details (we share a secure link, no government office visit needed).

    Timeline

Technical feasibility approval in 7–14 days. Final subsidy credit after installation.

  4. 4

    Installation

    What we do

Our in-house installation crew arrives with panels, inverter, mounting structure, and wiring. We install in 2–3 days for residential systems, 3–7 days for commercial. Cleanup is part of the job.

    What you do

Park your car elsewhere for 2 days. Make tea (optional).

    Timeline

Scheduled 7–10 days after subsidy approval.

  5. 5

    Net Metering Approval

    What we do

We file the net metering application with your DISCOM, coordinate the inspection visit, and get the bidirectional meter installed.

    What you do

Be home for the meter inspection (2 hours, one visit).

    Timeline

    10–21 days after installation.

  6. 6

    Go Live + 25-Year Support

    What we do

We commission the system, walk you through the monitoring app, and hand over warranty papers (panels: 25 years performance, 10 years product; inverter: 5 years standard, extendable to 10).

    What you do

Open the app. Watch your bill drop next month.

    Timeline

Day of commissioning. Maintenance visits annually; on-call thereafter.

What can slow things down.

We'd rather tell you up front than apologise later.

DISCOM backlog
In some districts, technical feasibility approvals are running 4–6 weeks instead of the usual 2. We chase weekly.
Roof modifications
If your roof needs structural work (rare), that adds 1–2 weeks.
Monsoon installation
We avoid installing during heavy rain; this can push installation by 5–7 days.
Net metering inspection
DISCOM inspector availability varies by region. We follow up every 3 days.
