Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 May 2026
These terms govern your use of the SolarSon website (solarson.co.in) and the services we provide — site surveys, quotations, system supply, installation, subsidy filing, financing facilitation, and after-sales maintenance. By using this site or asking us for a quote, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't submit a form or accept a proposal.
1. About SolarSon
SolarSon Green Energy is a rooftop solar installer operating across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We are an empanelled vendor under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. "We", "us", and "SolarSon" in these terms refer to SolarSon Green Energy. "You" refers to the person or entity submitting an enquiry, accepting a quotation, or commissioning an installation.
2. The services we provide
We provide some or all of the following, depending on the proposal you accept:
- A free site survey and a written quotation valid for 30 days.
- Supply and installation of rooftop solar PV systems using BIS / MNRE-approved panels and inverters.
- Filing of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana subsidy application on your behalf, where applicable.
- Introduction to partner banks for EMI financing, where requested.
- Coordination with your DISCOM for net-metering approval.
- After-sales service during the warranty period of the installed components.
We do not provide tax, legal, or investment advice. Numbers shown on this website (savings, EMI, payback) are realistic estimates based on typical Andhra Pradesh and Telangana tariffs; your actual outcome depends on your bill history, sanctioned load, roof orientation, and DISCOM-approved system size.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act on behalf of the property whose roof we will be installing on. For societies, schools, and corporates, you confirm that you are an officer empowered to receive quotations on behalf of the entity.
4. Quotations and validity
Quotations are valid for 30 days from issue. Prices are subject to change after that window because panel, inverter, and structure prices move with international and domestic supply. Once you accept a quotation in writing and we have received the agreed advance, the quoted price is locked for that project.
5. Pricing, payments, and taxes
All prices are quoted inclusive of GST at the rate prevailing on the date of quotation. Payment milestones are stated on the quotation — typically an advance at order confirmation, a balance on material delivery, and a final payment on commissioning. We issue a GST tax invoice for each milestone.
If the GST rate or any other applicable tax changes between quotation and final delivery, the tax delta will be passed through transparently. The base price will not change.
6. Subsidy and financing
The PM Surya Ghar subsidy is paid by the Government of India directly to your registered bank account, normally within 30 days of net-metering approval. SolarSon files the application on your behalf when you ask us to, but we do not control disbursal timelines and we cannot guarantee a subsidy amount different from the published scheme rules. The scheme caps the subsidy at ₹78,000 for residential rooftop systems and the rates may change without notice.
EMI financing is provided by partner banks under their own terms. SolarSon facilitates the introduction; the loan contract is solely between you and the lender, and your eligibility is decided by the lender.
7. Site survey and installation
You agree to give our survey and installation team safe access to the roof, the meter board, and any other locations required for the work. You confirm that you have, or will obtain, any society / society-board / RWA / landlord permissions needed before installation begins. Delays caused by missing permissions, structural issues uncovered during survey, monsoon weather, or DISCOM scheduling are outside our control; we will keep you informed.
8. Warranties
We pass through the manufacturer warranties on the components we install:
- Solar panels — typically a 12-year product warranty and a 25-year linear performance warranty (panel-specific).
- Inverter — typically 5–10 years, extendable; specifics are on your quotation.
- Mounting structure — typically 5–10 years against corrosion and structural failure.
- SolarSon workmanship — 5 years on installation workmanship, free of charge.
All warranties are subject to the manufacturer's published terms, which we share with you at handover. Damage caused by lightning, flood, civil unrest, unauthorised modification, or use outside the system's rated capacity is not covered.
9. Net metering and DISCOM dependencies
Net metering, feed-in tariffs, and export rules are governed by your DISCOM and the relevant State Electricity Regulatory Commission. We design and install systems compliant with current rules, but we do not control future changes to DISCOM policy that may affect the economics of your system.
10. Customer obligations
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your property, bills, and ownership.
- Make payments by the milestones agreed in the quotation.
- Allow safe access for installation, commissioning, and warranty maintenance.
- Not move, modify, or extend the installed system without written confirmation that the change is safe and warranty-compatible.
11. Limitation of liability
SolarSon's total liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the total amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost generation due to grid outages, DISCOM delays, or weather. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
12. Intellectual property
The SolarSon name, logo, website content, calculator logic, and quotation templates are owned by us. You may share quotations and proposals with people involved in your decision but may not republish our content publicly without written permission.
13. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events outside reasonable control — including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, DISCOM directives, civil unrest, or import / component shortages. Affected milestones will be rescheduled in good faith.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana. Before approaching a court, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution in writing for at least 30 days.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top is authoritative. For active projects, the version of these terms in effect when you accepted the quotation continues to apply until that project is closed.
